The biggest plague for skin is the chronic battle teens and adults have with acne. Acne is the result of a clogged hair follicle, not the result of dirt or oil. While dirt and oil can contribute to the clogging of hair follicles, the majority of people with acne have issues with dead skin cells that either slough off at a faster than normal rate or that slough off and become easily clogged in the pores.
